Resolve invisible mouse cursor issue in Ubuntu

Home / Ubuntu / Resolve invisible mouse cursor issue in Ubuntu

Today I installed second monitor and now I have two monitors connected through HDMI and VGA cable. After installing mouse pointer went invisible. So, here is what I did to resolve invisible mouse cursor issue in Ubuntu 14.04

To resolve this issue, type the following commands in terminal (because this time you cannot copy and paste, remember mouse pointer is missing)

Open terminal

Press these buttons Ctrl+Alt+T simultaneously to open (mighty) Terminal.

Reset compiz configuration

Type dconf reset -f /org/compiz/ to reset compiz configuration.

Start a new session

Start a new session with Unity by running setsid unity

Now, try to use mouse. It will work, because it worked for me.

If any other solution worked for you, then post that in comment 🙂
